 No Sew SIGNATURE STYLED ACCESSORIES
Sign or scribble your mark however you please with this cool iron-on thread! Signatures, initials, fun phrases or doodles are easily applied without sewing a stitch.
Get everything together:
- Item to decorate, like a backpack, loose-leaf binder, t-shirt or anything that has a flat surface easy to reach with the iron. Make sure it’s made out of fabric and can handle ironing with high heat. Look for something made from cotton, like jeans denim or canvas
- Mrs. K’s Dimensional Iron-On Thread by Kreinik
- Teflon Press Cloth by Kreinik
- Disappearing marking pencil that can be seen on your item to decorate
- Iron
- Ironing board
- Optional – Buttons, stones, studs or other fun doo-dads
Think about what you want to “write” or “draw” with the thread. You could write your name or nickname or your boyfriend’s name or your school team’s name or draw a flower or . . . or. . .
okay, you get the idea!
 1. Begin by placing your item to decorate over the end of the ironing board so the design area is completely flat. Don’t plan to run the word over seams, folds or any other lumps that don’t lie smooth on the board.
2. Write your name (or whatever) on a piece of paper. Cut out  the word and hold it up on the item to decorate to see if it fits in the space. (Diag. 1). When you’re sure about it, write or draw directly on the fabric with the disappearing pencil. Make any corrections and erase lines you don’t want according to the instructions that came with the pencil.
3. Turn the iron on to a high setting. (BE CAREFUL!) Shape Mrs. K’s Iron-On Thread around the word or design you drew, working a few inches at a time. Cover thread with the Teflon Press Cloth and press with the hot iron for about 30 seconds to fuse in place  (Diag. 2). Remove the press cloth and continue to shape the thread around the pencil design. Shape every 2” - 3” inches of the design and press with the press cloth . When you’re finished, lift the press cloth and cut the thread at the end of the design.
4. Optional: Decorate your word with extra doodads. Dot I’s with a button, create flower centers with a stone or add whatever, wherever you like!
